Scalable density

AudienceScience, an enterprise advertising management platform, experienced a rapid increase in media transaction volume and needed to expand its infrastructure to support rising demand for its real-time, data-driven workloads. The ability to accommodate higher power densities is critical for AudienceScience to scale their infrastructure and ensure a high quality end-user experience.

As AudienceScience added more servers and equipment to their existing data center footprint, they pushed the power limits of the facility and began experiencing problems with temperature control and power outages. Without access to additional power, they could not provide adequate cooling for their equipment, and as a result, they were unable to fill their racks to maximum capacity.

The ability to densify their colocation footprint allowed AudienceScience to manage the heat from additional equipment and completely fill their racks. Making full use of their servers and circuits allowed the company to reduce spending on new IT equipment and provide a more stable environment for their application.

High availability

Real-time ad bidding is essential for AudienceScience to provide data-driven media buying for their global customer base. The company doesn’t have the option to not bid on ads, and their application must be up and running at all times.

Data centers designed for concurrent maintainability can minimize the risk of downtime and ensure availability for business-critical applications. This design eliminates single points of failure, and includes a backup for the components within the data center. Essentially, this means that a component can be shut down without disrupting other systems or most importantly, customers.
