Why is the British Grand Prix at Silverstone so special?
I recently had the pleasure of attending one of the most anticipated F1 races of the year: the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. As anyone passionate about Formula One knows, this is where it all started. The first world championship race was held at this circuit in 1950, and over the decades it has become one of the crown jewels of the sport. The combination of high-speed straights, historic corners like Copse and Maggotts-Becketts, and the electric atmosphere of the fans makes Silverstone unlike any other venue. For me, there was definitely a sense of excitement attending my first European race and experiencing the mystique that surrounds this iconic circuit.
How did Internap make the experience unique for customers?
To make it extra special, we hosted customers on the lawn of Sahara Force India’s headquarters – practically right on the circuit – during their annual partner event. This vantage point not only provided the roar of engines and the thrill of the race, but also gave attendees a behind-the-scenes feel of being part of the F1 paddock community. It was an opportunity for customers to network, enjoy the event together, and see firsthand how Internap aligns itself with high-performance organizations like Sahara Force India.
Who helped capture the festivities?
Adding to the excitement, Will Buxton and Jason Swales from NBC Sports were on hand to lend media coverage and document the weekend. Their presence brought additional energy and credibility to the event, ensuring that the customer experience was highlighted not just as a race-day outing, but as a shared story of technology, performance, and partnership.
What did customers have to say?
Bango and CCP Games of our customers discuss their impressions of the Grand Prix weekend, the race itself, and their ongoing partnership with Internap. Their perspectives reflect how the high-stakes, high-speed world of Formula One resonates with the values of innovation, speed, and reliability that Internap delivers to its clients every day.
